Mother Maud

As an infant Sir Celestine spent most of his time being raised by Maud Pie due to Rarity often being overcome with the duties of a top-ranking fashion designer. Though she did little in her son's raising, this doesn't mean she didn't love the small Unicorn. Rarity couldn't wait for Celestine to grow old enough to speak and play with her, but she soon realized that the window of time had come and passed, and that her son had been born mute. This upset Rarity greatly and she struggled with it, causing a rift between he and her; though Maud was always there every step of the way, quickly teaching the foal a form of sign language, and found aid in Twilight when it came time to teach him simple spells in which he could also use to communicate. 

Rarity soon realized her selfishness and quickly jumped back into Celestine's life, but the damage had been done. As an adult, he greatly loves both of his mothers, but always come to Maud first with any of his problems.

I doodle this about a week ago and didn't intend to upload it, but I really like the drawing so decided to add a little dramatic shading to finish it off 'v' Celestine is one of my favorite next gens, as well as Maud and Rarity being some of my favorite characters <33
